May 19, 2013 – “In the Shadow of Ninevah” Rev. Keith Goheen
The spiritual journey can take us to places we don’t want to go and make demands we don’t want to accept. Even when we rise to its calling, its greatest values may remain hidden from our understanding. So why make the trip? This morning’s reflection centers on the Book of Jonah as a guidebook for a particular experience in the spiritual life and explores its meanings in today’s world.
This morning’s speaker, the Reverend Keith Goheen, is the chaplain at Beebe Medical Center in Lewes, DE. Board certified through the Association of Professional Chaplains, Keith also holds ministerial fellowship with the Unitarian Universalist Association. Keith is the most southern-dwelling member of the U.U. Society of Mill Creek. He and his wife, Margaret, live in Rehoboth Beach, DE. A student of Jungian psychology, Keith finds this approach valuable in his professional and personal practices. He draws from Jungian wisdom in this morning’s service.
