Nancy's Family

Rev. Nancy DeanThe Rev. Nancy Dean is the minister of the Unitarian Universalist Society of Mill Creek founded 1989. A graduate of the Harvard Divinity School, Rev. Dean was formerly a teacher at both elementary and college levels. She is married and has two adult children, and two grandchildren.

A native of Idaho, the Reverend Dean had a career in teaching before entering the ministry. She attended the Harvard Divinity School from 1990 to 1994, spending two years as an intern at the First Unitarian Society in West Newton, Massachusetts. She was ordained in 1994. After a year as interim associate minister at First Parish Church in Concord, Massachusetts, she joined us at UUSMC in September 1995 as our first called minister.

Nancy speaks glowingly of members of UUSMC as "a caring, intelligent, and fun group of people." She praises the cooperation, responsibility, leadership, and dedication she has experienced in working here.

UUSMC members and friends have been impressed and inspired by Reverend Dean's thoughtful sermons. She has touched us also through her deep caring and her joyful, humorous approach to life. We look forward to the coming years as Reverend Dean leads us in our quest to build a thriving congregation committed to spiritual growth and social justice.
