We are now accepting donations to be included in our 2024 Service Auction!

Donations included in our live and silent auctions generally fall into one of three categories:

ITEMS: most items (gift baskets of all kinds, handcrafted goods, retail gift cards, homegrown vegetables from your garden, pottery, jewelry, art work, a fresh pot of your famous chili, that dessert that only you can make, etc.) will be available for bidding in our Silent Auction – this year held IN-PERSON (no online auction bidding). This means you will have the opportunity to view the items up close and in person on Auction Day and enjoy a little fun and friendly competition while placing your bids. Please provide a detailed description of the item(s) you are donating.

SERVICES: most services (lawn care/weeding, tree trimming/planting, airport/medical/therapy transportation, baby/pet/house sitting, personal IT consultation/troubleshooting, outdoor Christmas light installation, cooking/dancing lessons, automotive tune-up/repair, etc.) will be included in our live auction. Please provide a detailed description of the service(s) you are providing.

EXPERIENCES: just like services, most experiences (guided hikes, museum trips, themed dinners at your house, live entertainment, wine tastings, “dinner and a show,” etc.) will be included in our live auction. Please provide a detailed description of the experience(s) you are offering.

**Donations to the auction are not strictly categorized under these three descriptions. We break them down here to familiarize you with the large variety and types of donations we have received in the past, and to help you to determine what you might donate. If you have an idea for a donation that doesn’t fit these categories – let us know!! Donate as many items, services and/or experiences you’d like! With all donations, the Auction Team will determine if your donation is best suited for the live or silent auction.

Please note: in all cases, there is no such thing as too much information! The more detail you provide in your description, the better. Pictures are encouraged.

Please also note: if you are unsure about the monetary value of your donation(s), let us know and our auction specialist will be happy to assist you.

And one more note: there is no pressure to make wildly unique, super festive, high end, or incredibly creative donations. Have a 1-week time share you’d like to donate? Super, we’ll take it! Want to donate a 2-hour helicopter sightseeing tour? Great, we’ll take it! HOWEVER…we will happily and gratefully accept store gift cards, handcrafted items, baked goods, and monetary donations in lieu of something tangible. The idea of the auction is to garner involvement and participation, and support the church with this fundraiser — and have some fun while doing it!

Have you purchased your tickets yet? You can buy them at the advance price of $20 each (or pay $25 at the door) on every Sunday prior to Auction Day with cash or check; stop by the table in the gathering space. Each ticket includes a delicious meal with beverages and desserts; dietary meal options will be offered. Or, you can purchase your tickets electronically by clicking the button below. **Purchasing your tickets PRIOR TO AUCTION DAY is highly recommended.** It gives us an accurate head count needed to purchase enough food for everyone. (Plus – it saves you $5 per ticket!)

Mill Creek ‘Fiesta de Mayo’ Service Auction: Saturday, May 11th, 2024, 5:00 pm.
Members and friends make a variety of donations which are included in our online and live auction; the church keeps the proceeds. The event serves as our largest fundraiser. Everyone is welcome to make a donation, attend the event, and bid or purchase items. Church membership is not a requirement to participate!
