Join us for worship this Sunday, September 6th at 10:30 am.
This week, Rev. Greg begins our exploration of Generosity with a message called, “A Nourishing Generosity.” We will be joined by the choral director at Cab Calloway School of the Arts, Martin Lassman. Martin has performed with The Fifth Dimension and the Stan Kenton Orchestra. Our Religious Education students will join us for the first part of our service and then go to their classes following the Story for All Ages.
Our Adult Religious Education group meets every Sunday before service in the MacArtor Library at 9:15 am. This week features a YouTube video by Douglas Blackmon, who is the Pulitzer-Prize winning author of Slavery by Another Name: The Re-Enslavement of Black Americans from the Civil War to World War II. His book provides a searing examination of how the enslavement of African-Americans persisted deep into the 20th century. He was also co-executive producer of the acclaimed PBS documentary of the same name which was broadcast in February 2012 and attracted an audience of 4.8 million viewers. All are invited to join in the conversation!
It’s going to be another great day at Mill Creek!
