Last Sunday, the Chalice Children made slime! The Roots and Shoots Friends worked on their projects to be presented to the congregation at the April 8 potluck. The Coming of Agers enjoyed a wonderful mentor meeting and the Youth Group met to complete their group covenant and talk about the March for Our Lives.
This Sunday is Easter Sunday! Weather permitting, the Chalice Children will to go outside for an egg hunt. The Roots and Shoots friends will rehearse their presentations for the April 8 Pot Luck and Central Asian Banquet. They will also have an opportunity to join in the “Easter Egg Fun.” The Coming of Age and Youth Groups will gather together in the library to enjoy a beautiful video showing coming of age rituals from across the world (movie snacks provided).
Next Sunday, April 8th during our monthly potluck gathering, the Roots and Shoots class will share their projects and presentations on the state of education for women and girls in Pakistan and Afghanistan. You don’t want to miss this!!! Come out and enjoy a pot luck of Central Asian food. You are invited to share your own Central Asian or Middle Eastern recipe!
