Mill Creek’s First Annual Democracy “Woke Vote” Challenge

As UU’s, it’s a priority for us to consider our participation in the political process seriously – even as a part of our spiritual practice. That’s why we will be hosting our first annual “Woke Vote” Challenge this September!

In a Jeopardy-like challenge, we’ll share questions with our teens (in teams) about our democratic process and encourage them as they aspire to become responsible voters. We’ll serve pizza, have a few icebreakers, and get to know one another – EVERYONE IS WELCOME!

We will have some fun and applaud the passion of our Young People! Bring your friends, your appetite… and your democracy knowledge. Adults are welcome to participate too!

Facilitated by Julia Smagorinsky.
