Awake My Soul

Join us for worship this Sunday, June 14, at 10:30 am

You are invited to worship this week! Rev. Greg will continue our theme of Body & Soul with a message, “Awake My Soul.”

The UUSMC Choir will provide musical grounding performing pieces from Phil Porter, Craig Courtney, and Stephen Schwartz. We have invited Jan Owens of the UU Fellowship of Newark to offer a Witness to these Hopes about “Code Purple.” In Religious Education, the children will be celebrating the completion of their curriculum year with snacks and music and fun (of course)!

Come early (at 9:15) and join the Adult Religious Exploration group in the MacArtor Library as they view a film called, Helen Fisher – Biology of the Mind which explores why we fall in love with the people that we do. Dr. Helen Fisher argues that the brain is one of the most powerful systems on earth, responsible for love through chemicals and complex thinking patterns. Her studies have identified both the smitten and broken hearted, uncovering the connection between how humans are drawn towards one another.

So – Come! Be a part of this gathered and growing community as we engage our hearts and minds in the transformative work of UUSMC!
