Mill Creek Book Group Announces Next Read

The book group welcomes everyone to our group read and discussion of An Indigenous Peoples’ History of the United States by Roxanne Dunbar-Ortiz, at our meeting on Thursday, January 16, at 7:30 pm in classroom 4.

“Dunbar-Ortiz adroitly challenges the founding myth of the United States and shows how policy against the Indigenous peoples was colonialist and designed to seize the territories of the original inhabitants, displacing or eliminating them.” –BeaconPress.org

This book is the UUA Common Read choice for 2019-2020. It addresses the policy of genocide of Native Americans by the U.S. government throughout our history, over more than 400 years, a history that few Americans learn about in school.
