Everyone is welcome to join us for our next meeting when we discuss Being Mortal: Medicine and What Matters Most in the End, by Atul Gawande.
The author, a practicing surgeon, describes the book as being about “the modern experience of mortality–about what it’s like to be creatures who age and die, how medicine has changed the experience and how it hasn’t, where our ideas about how to deal with our infinitude have got the reality wrong.” For more information about the book and the author, click here.
Copies can be purchased on Amazon, or checked out through the Delaware library system.
No membership or registration requirements — all are welcome, including one time drop-ins. Please contact Deanna Koepcke with any questions.
