Join us this Sunday at 10:30 a.m. when we will be joined by guest speaker Rev. Dr. Richard Speck and his message, Give Me a Break. In keeping with our monthly theme of Sabbath, we will explore when it is good to take a break from the routine. Whether it be work, church, family, or life, there are times when stopping doing something is healthy and appropriate. So unless you need a break from worship, we’ll expect to see you in church! Music for the day will be performed by returning musician and Cab Calloway School of the Arts student Katie August.
Religious Exploration (RE)
During Service
It’s going to be another eventful day in RE! Chalice Children will learn about how being a good friend helps us live our Unitarian Universalist Principles, especially our first Principle (We affirm the inherent worth and dignity of every person). The Roots and Shoots Friends will start making homes for homeless cats. The Coming of Age class will visit the Hindu Temple of Delaware and the Youth Group will engage in bonding activities.
Adult Religious Exploration
Before Service
The first section of our Faith Like a River series on UU Identity, concluded last Sunday. After a short break, the next section, Diverse Community, will begin on Sunday, April 8. In the meantime, check out the workshop, Waking Up White, which begins next Sunday, March 4 (see events page for more information).
Visitor’s Reception
After Service
If you plan on visiting Mill Creek for the first time, or if you’ve joined us multiple times, you are warmly invited to join our informal visitor’s reception this Sunday after the worship service in the MacArtor Library.
It’s going to be another wonderful day of worship and fellowship at Mill Creek!
