Need to get rid of unwanted shoes?  Here’s how!

Peaches Girls Co-Op, a local all-inclusive organization designed to connect girls from age 8 to 18 with others in their school, community, across their state and the nation, is conducting a shoe-drive. The purpose of the drive is to support family operated micro-businesses in Haiti. The drive is sponsored by Funds2Org, a non-profit organization which has shipped over 20 million pairs of shoes to people and places hurt by natural disasters.

Peaches hopes to collect 100 bags of gently-worn shoes (all types – boots, slippers, sandals, sneakers, etc.) which Funds2Org will pick up and ship to Haiti to be sold by local micro-businesses. If Peaches meets their goal, they earn $1000!

Bring in all of your unwanted, gently used shoes (no rips, tears, or holes) to classroom 1. The drive runs through Wednesday, May 15. Contact the church office with questions, administrator@uusmc.org.
