Join us for worship at 10:30 a.m. as we begin our theme of Breakthrough with Rev. Greg’s message, “this might hurt a little.” And, as has become our tradition, we will participate in our Threshold Ritual where we might offer up what we wish to leave behind from the year ended, and what we wish to carry forth in the year ahead. Music for the day will be performed by returning guest musician E. Shawn Qaissaunee.

This Sunday, the Chalice Children will welcome the New Year with cool crafts and winter slime! Our Roots and Shoots friends will begin putting items in a Time Capsule. Your child may wish to bring items like a newspaper, a sample of a favorite product, a picture of a popular toy, a popular headline from 2017 or, a ticket stub from a favorite movie, etc. In the coming weeks, children will write their predictions for 2018, and write messages that reflect their hopes and values. We will revisit the time capsule in 2019.
Jeanne and Brian will lead our wonderful Coming of Age Class in a lesson about Buddhism and Terry will engage the Youth Group in exploring the challenges we face in articulating our UU faith to their peers.
It’s going to be another great day at Mill Creek!
