July 23: Wilderness of Home

Join us for worship this Sunday at 10:30 a.m. as Rev. Greg presents his message, “Wilderness of Home.”

The music for the day will be performed by Half Brassed, so called because they make up half of the membership of the Clarion Brass, featuring Mill Creek members Gordon Roth on trumpet, Tom Hartline on trombone, and Brian Hanson on euphonium/tuba.

This Sunday we will be visiting the Philadelphia Butterfly Pavilion! All children and youth are welcome to attend, and their tickets are being provided by the generous donations of Mill creek members and friends (this was a Service Auction item). Adults are also very welcome but might have to pay admission depending on how far our money goes. The folks at the PBP will also be showing us the proper way to catch and handle butterflies so our kids will be ready when we tag the Monarchs later this summer.

Right now we have close to 20 kids and adults signed up. We will meet at UUSMC at 10:15 AM and carpool to the Pavilion. We plan to grab a light lunch or snack at the Philadelphia Pretzel Factory on the way. Our tour begins at 12:00 noon, and will conclude by 2:00 PM. We should return to UUSMC by 3:00 PM. Please let Jamie Kegerise know if you plan to attend (302) 218-5690 or DRE@UUSMC.org.
