Join us for worship this Sunday at 10:30 a.m. as we welcome guest speaker Rev. Rebecca “Beckett” Coppola who brings her message, “The Promise of Courageous Love.”
We are a faithful people dedicated to courageous love. This idea has implications on how we approach each other, covenantal community, and our work in the world. Learning opportunities are plentiful when we are willing to take risks, some sweet and some painful. Let’s create a brave space, and step into the promise of Unitarian Universalism together!
Our music will be performed by the Mill Creek Choir under the direction of Kristen Tosh-Morelli, with Pam Allenstein, pianist. We will be joined by special guest Pape “Paco” Demba on hand drums.
Children’s Religious Education
We welcome the children to classroom 1 after the Story For All Ages. This Sunday our children will have a few chores both inside and outside in the meadow (feed the Bluebirds, water the seedlings they planted, and look for signs of spring), but that will be after the chalice lighting and story. Please have your child dressed appropriately for outside activities. Thanks to everyone who is caring for the seedlings that the children planted. Let us know if you have any sprouts! We hope to have many Milkweed and other plants to put in the new Butterfly Garden this coming Earth Day.
Please visit our Children’s RE display table in the gathering space after church service this Sunday to learn about our Butterfly Spirituality program and our plans for Earth Day!
Adult Religious Education
Come early! Our Adult Religious Education group meets every Sunday at 9:15 am in the MacArtor Library. Please join Mary Higgins and Bob Broesler this Sunday for the beginning exploration of the Unitarian Universalist principle to affirm the use of conscience in our lives. What is conscience? How do we differentiate between conscience and other motivating principles as we try to live a meaningful life. We will deeply look at this topic for three weeks beginning this Sunday. See you at 9:15 (remember the time change!)
Potluck Lunch
Stay late! Everyone is welcome to join us after the service for our monthly potluck lunch for good fellowship. Please bring a dish to share.
It’s going to be another great day at Mill Creek!
