March 25: Religious Exploration for Children and Youth

Last Week, our precious Chalice Children completed their unit about emotions. The Roots and Shoots Friends worked on their Gnome Village Project (see photo above). The Coming of Age group attended a retreat at Murray Grove Retreat and Renewal Center joining other UU Coming of Age groups from NJ, PA and NY for a weekend of formation and fellowship. The High School Age Youth group formed a group covenant with their team of adult advisors!

This Sunday, the Chalice Children get to make slime! The Roots and Shoots Friends will work on their projects to be presented to the congregation at the April 8 potluck. The Coming of Agers” will meet with their mentors. The Youth Group will meet to talk about the March for Our Lives.

Next Sunday is Easter Sunday. Please prepare your “Chalice Child” to go outside for an egg hunt (weather permitting). The Roots and Shoots friends will rehearse their presentations for the April 8 Pot Luck and Middle Eastern Banquet. They will also have an opportunity to join in the “Easter Egg Fun.” The Coming of Age and Youth Groups will have a UU History Challenge.
