Music is a vibrant and important element of our services. Visitors may recognize some familiar tunes and words, but will also hear a reflection of our diversity and our respect for many traditions.

Honoring many traditions

Most services feature hymns from Singing the Living Tradition and Singing the Journey, the hymnal and supplement used by many Unitarian Universalist congregations. Both include hymns from many different faith traditions.

Guest instrumentalists, vocalists, and choirs — from klezmer bands to gospel singers to classically trained soloists  — are often invited to enhance our worship together.

Adding your voice to the choir

The choir is always welcoming to new members, or those who might just want to come and sing for a bit. There are no auditions, weeknight rehearsals or commitments necessary — if you want to give us a try, please attend any rehearsal. View the music schedule.

Music beyond Sunday mornings

UUSMC is the home of the Kaleidoscope Concert Series, a series of high-quality, professional concerts featuring local musicians, with an eye for diversity in genre and style. During the week the Music School of Delaware uses our facilities for their Pike Creek classes.
