New Director of Religious Education

We are excited to announce that we have hired a new Director of Religious Education. Her name is Terry Vodery, and she will begin work with us on September 10. Terry comes to us with a deep commitment to religious education and a passion for social justice. Most recently, she has served our sister church, the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Newark, as the Developmental Director of Religious Education. There, she developed programs for children, youth, and adults, as well as nurtured existing and new volunteers with love and grace.

Terry grew up in Newark and is embedded in this community. She has served as a nonprofit development director and exemplifies the idea of the servant-leader, guiding people towards achieving their goals and remaining faithful to organizational goals.

A graduate of Lincoln University, Terry has engaged in theological education at Wesley Theological Seminary. She is an ordained elder in the African Methodist Episcopal Church and the Covenant Ecumenical Fellowship and Cathedral Assemblies.

We are fortunate to have Terry join us in our shared ministry here at Mill Creek. Please join us in welcoming Terry at Ingathering on September 10.
