November 18: This Week in Religious Exploration

Following the Story for All Ages in worship, Children and Youth will report to their classrooms for an hour of learning, friendship and fun!

Ivonne will lead the Chalice Children in a session called, “We Need Our Families.”

Roots and Shoots Friends will continue in their project to help bring environmentally safe diapering solutions to people in need.

During the Religious Education hour, all Youth will meet in the library to bond with one another and to continue learning about their chosen project.

Following worship, the O.W.L. class will meet in classroom #4 for their session on Sexual Orientation.

This Sunday in Adult Religious Exploration:  Let’s talk about the Bible! Terry Vodery will lead an overview and facilitate discussion about one of the culture’s most quoted (and misquoted) pieces of literature.  Each week, we’ll look at specific sections of this volume from the Torah to the Epistles. We’ll explore different versions and discuss how they came to be. All are invited to what promises to be an interesting weekly gathering and group discussion.  Adult RE – Sundays (11/18– 12/16)  9:15-10:15 a.m. in the MacArtor Library.  Coffee provided. All are welcome!

November 30 Family Fun Night – 6:30 – 8:00 (Every Fourth Friday)
Mark your calendars!!! The Roots and Shoots Friends (together with the RE-Imagineers) are hosting an evening of fun and awareness and you are invited! We will be showing the movie, “The Lorax,” and raising awareness and funds for “Jake’s Diapers.”

Jake’s Diapers, Inc. solves diaper need for infants, elderly and those with special needs. This is essential for clean, healthy and active lives and creates a sense of dignity. When we alleviate the ongoing financial burden of diaper costs, we empower recipients to pursue a higher quality of life.  Funds raised will benefit infants and elders of Vieques Island, a municipality of Puerto Rico.  Since 2013, Jake’s Diapers has provided diaper solutions for people of all ages in over 20 countries.  For more info, check out
