Join us for worship this Sunday at 10:30 a.m.
Join us as guest speaker and member, Doug Harrell, completes our ministry theme of Healing with his message, “Only Love Can.” In our modern world, Americans are waging war daily against a myriad of social ills: drugs, crime, and poverty just to name a few. But is war really the right approach? As Marvin Gaye so eloquently put it, “War is not the answer — for only love can conquer hate.” Doug’s sermon is an exploration into a different, more collaborative approach to today’s problems of poverty and crime.
Doug’s sermon won the 2015 Dana McLean Greeley Sermon competition sponsored by the Unitarian Universalist United Nations Office (UU-UNO), and was presented at the International Reception at UUA General Assembly on Friday, June 24, 2016 in Columbus, OH.
Our music will be performed by returning guest musicians Chris and Jeanmarie Braddock.
In Children’s Religious Education this Sunday, there will be no formal Children’s RE, but adults will be present in Classroom One if your children would like to spend time there during the service. Our regular programming will resume on Sunday, December 4.
Please note: there will be NO Adult Religious Education this Sunday.
It’s going to be another great day at Mill Creek!
