October 1: Religious Exploration for Children and Youth

LAST SUNDAY

Children’s Religious Exploration classes joined groups all over the world by flying their Doves in commemoration of the International Day of Peace. The “processional in the park” drew lots of attention from park visitors who gathered to take photographs and ask the children about the cause of peace. Many thanks to all the volunteers who helped make the day a great success.

THIS SUNDAY

“Blessing of the Animals.” This will be an inter-generational worship service. All are invited to being their pets (and their stuffed animals) to church for a special blessing. PLEASE NOTE: Because this is an Inter-generational Sunday, there will be no Religious Education Classes. We will have a “Relief Room” available with activities for children who may become restless during the service. Feel free to bring your child to Classroom #1 at anytime during the worship; however, we ask that pets remain either in the sanctuary or outside.

NEXT SUNDAY

OCTOBER 8 Symbolic Monarch Migration Program: Our Children’s classes will be preparing and sending a greeting packet to children in Mexico through the Symbolic Monarch Migration Program. We will be explaining our work to help Monarch Butterflies and telling them about our womderful church. In the Spring, we will receive a greeting packet from the children in Mexico as the real Monarchs begin their spring and summer flights back north to begin the amazing process again.

Coming of Age Class: This year, the Religious Exploration Program will be offering the Coming of Age Class. We will have a 1hour meeting with parents, guardians and familes of our 7-8th graders immediately following worship in Classroom #1
