LAST SUNDAY
The Roots and Shoots class prepared and sent a greeting packet to our friends in Mexico through the Symbolic Monarch Migration Program. The packet explained our work to help Monarch Butterflies and told them about Mill Creek. In the Spring, the children will receive a greeting packet from the children in Mexico as the real Monarchs begin their spring and summer flights back north.
THIS SUNDAY, OCTOBER 15
Chalice Children (Early Childhood): This Sunday, our younger children will practice using positive words and actions as they learn and live our First Principle, affirming the inherent worth and dignity of every person.
Roots and Shoots (Elementary School Age): This Sunday, the children will focus on respect and compassion for all living things, to promote understanding of all cultures and beliefs. Children will be inspired to to take action to make the world a better place.
LOOKING AHEAD
Coming of Age Class: This year, the Religious Exploration Program will be offering the Coming of Age Class for 7-8 graders. Class begins October 29 during the Religious Exploration Hour.
ATTENTION HIGH SCHOOL YOUTH! Mill Creek is currently working on developing the 2017-2018 Youth Group Program just for you. Since we are a bunch of adults, we’d really like to hear from you, the youth of Mill Creek, about what you would like our Youth program to be. Please stop by the Religious Exploration table to fill out a survey letting us know what you want for your youth group.
There will be an interest meeting for all High School age youth and their parents next Sunday (October 22) in the YRUU Room 12:00-12:45.
