LAST SUNDAY, OCTOBER 15
Chalice Children (Early Childhood): Last Sunday, our younger children practiced using positive words and actions as they learned about living our First Principle, affirming the inherent worth and dignity of every person. They made the “cutest” friendship cards to exchange with their loved ones and with each other!
Roots and Shoots (Elementary School Age): Last Sunday, the children children were inspired to take action to make the world a better place. Our instructors introduced the class to who Jane Goodall is and how Roots & Shoots, her international youth organization that we are a part of, got started. Then the class came up with ideas of their own for this year’s projects focused on care and concern for animals, the human community, and the environment.
THIS SUNDAY, OCTOBER 22
Chalice Children: Children will explore ways that friendships are surrounded by love. The class will talk about ways we are alike, and ways we are different. Through song, activitiy, story and play, children will have an opportunity to learn more about one another and affirm the inherent worth and dignity of every person.
Roots and Shoots: The class will continue planning this year’s projects focused on care and concern for animals, the human community, and the environment. They will also start planning for the Christmas play!
High School Aged Youth: (YOUTH GROUP INTEREST MEETING) There will be an interest meeting for all High School age youth (and their parents) this Sunday (October 22) in classroom #4 following worship (12:00-12:45) Please make every effort to have your young person attend this very important meeting – and don’t forget to complete your survey!
