Join us for worship this Sunday, July 12 at 10:30 am
Rev. Greg will explore the new Pixar film, “Inside Out” with a sermon titled, “Pursuit of Happiness.” If you have not yet seen the movie, it is well worth your time! It is a look inside the mind of an 11-year old girl and the animated core emotions of Joy, Anger, Fear, Sadness, and Disgust. With intelligence and wit, we get a look inside the complexities of our emotional life. Rev. Greg highly recommends seeing the film! Music this Sunday will be provided by the wonderful Christopher and Jeanmarie Braddock (guitar, violin, and voice).
We invite our Religious Education students to gather in Room 1 before the service begins to engage in stories and crafts.
The Adult Religious Exploration group will meet Sunday morning at 9:15 in the MacArtor Library. This week we will be viewing Pico Iyer, The Art of Stillness. In a counter-intuitive and lyrical meditation, travel writer Pico Iyer takes a look at the incredible insight that comes with taking time for stillness. In our world of constant movement and distraction, he teases out strategies we all can use to take back a few minutes out of every day, or a few days out of every season. It’s the talk for anyone who feels overwhelmed by the demands for our world.
It’s going to be another great day at Mill Creek!
