Mill Creek’s Social Justice Committee continues this annual tradition of providing Thanksgiving meals to local needy families.
This is done by assembling boxes filled with donated non-perishable food items which will be distributed to the Kennett Food Pantry (PA) and the YWCA Home-Life Center in downtown Wilmington (DE). The boxes, donated to us by Calvert Farms in Maryland, are available now to take home and be filled. Lists of suggested food items are also available – including items such as canned foods of all varieties, boxed stuffing mix and instant potatoes are just some of the foods items we can accept, but also boxed mac & cheese, cereals and pasta; peanut butter; rice; and many others…such as paper supplies, powdered milk, and more.
Filled boxes (or even bags) must be brought back on Sunday, November 10. See any Social Justice member with questions. Thank you for your support!
