Join us for worship this Sunday, December 13th at 10:30 am
This week, Rev. Greg continues our December theme of Grace with the message, “Sometimes Amazing.” We will be joined by the UUSMC Choir under the direction of Kristen Tosh-Morelli and accompanied by Pam Allenstein. The youth and children are invited to begin their morning in the sanctuary, then proceed to their classes (see below) after the Time for All Ages.Come early! Our Adult Religious Education group meets every Sunday before service in the MacArtor Library at 9:15 am. Because we did not follow the announced program last week, instead spontaneously enjoying a documentary about Howard Zinn, this week we are starting a series of sessions on environmental justice viewing “Environmental Justice for All” by Robert Bullard who has been called the father of the environmental justice movement. For more than two decades, he has championed environmental protection as a civil rights and social justice issue. Mr. Bullard colorfully sensitizes us to the connections between race and waste, dumping in Dixie, and transportation apartheid. He states that public transportation in Atlanta has been underfunded because the white community has re-labelled MARTA (Moving Africans Rapidly Through Atlanta).
It’s going to be another great day at Mill Creek!
