Welcome to the Religious Exploration Program at Mill Creek!
Welcome to this safe place where Children, Youth and Adults freely and responsibly explore the values and principles that represent Unitarian Universalism. For 30 years, the Religious Exploration/Education program at Mill Creek has delivered opportunities for people of all ages to think for themselves about life’s meaning, its mystery, its wonder.
- Our Adult RE Program is a place for adults to meet other members of the congregation and begin to feel connected.
- Our Children’s and Youth Programs support families in raising young people in to compassionate adults.
Classes for Children and Youth meet on Sundays during the worship service. Classes for Adults meet every Sunday at 9:15 – 10:15 a.m. and at various times during the week.
Whoever you are, you are welcome here. With peace and Love…
Terry R. Vodery, Director
“The mission of Unitarian Universalist (UU) religious education is to create and sustain an intergenerational community of truthfulness and service, holiness and love… Religious education is neither book nor guru centered. It is not adult or even child centered. It is congregation centered, wherein all ages cooperatively engage in what Starr Williams called ‘a cycle of nurturing.’ Hence, our educational perspective must be grounded in sound ecclesiology and focus on all members being religious, remembering, re-creative, responsible, respectful, renewable and reverent pilgrims.” [Tom Owen-Towle]
