Where in the World is Rev. Greg?

Dear Friends,
Due to a very full late-winter schedule that included a bit of leave, some long-scheduled obligations, and commitments to colleagues, it would seem like I have abandoned the pulpit these last several weeks. I assure you that I have not! But I did want you to know where I will be in the next couple of weeks.

On April 2, I am preaching at the First Unitarian Church of Des Moines. This is my “home” congregation, the congregation from which I was called into Unitarian Universalist ministry. I make every effort to return to them every couple of years or so. It helps me remember, helps me re-root myself in this ministry.

On April 9, I am preaching at the Unitarian Society of Germantown in Philadelphia. Their lead minister, Rev. Kent Matthias, is on sabbatical. We have an agreement with the area churches that we help supply their pulpit when the minister is on sabbatical. So, when your minister goes on sabbatical, there is a cadre of preachers ready to return the favor!

April 16 is Easter Sunday, and I will be joyfully returning to the UUSMC pulpit.

In the days between, please know that I remain at work in service to this congregation. I am generally in the office between 9-2, Mondays through Thursdays. I am also readily available at other times by appointment. (Save for Friday – my day off.) If you would like to talk, grab a cup of coffee, or have any questions for me — please email me (minister@uusmc.org), or call the church (302-369-2712), or leave a voicemail on my cell phone (515-306-9804).

Blessings,
Greg
