Earth Day
Saturday, April 18 – 5:00 pm
Our annual Service Auction is quickly approaching, and every person’s participation truly matters. Now is the time to step in, share your gifts, and help ensure this beloved tradition is a success.
We invite you to submit your offerings — dinners, outings, events, services, experiences, and physical items — for both the live and silent auctions. Your contributions are the foundation of our most important fundraising event in support of our congregational programs, care, and community.
OUR DONATION LINE IS OPEN – click either ‘donate here’ button and let us know what you’ll be contributing.
The Service Auction is a fun and entertaining evening of fellowship enjoyed over a delicious meal, and features a little good-natured bidding competition. But its main purpose is to raise funds to support our operating budget and help offset our pledge drive deficit.
With this in mind, we humbly ask our members and friends to consider offering more than one item, outing, event, or service this year. There are no limits – donate as much as you like. Use the resources below to assist you with coming up with a desirable and profitable combination!

We’ve put together some resources to help you decide what you’d like to contribute to make our auction a big success.

** Coming Soon to Mill Creek: Free Little Library!
————————————————————
8th grader Brandon Teague, David & Laura Bonner’s eldest grandson, approached the Board with his idea of a community service project – constructing and installing a free library to serve not just our church but the local community and surrounding county park.
The Board supported Brandon’s project and he quickly got to work purchasing the needed supplies.
With his father Dan’s supervision, Brandon is learning to use a table saw, track saw, and router, and is doing all the assembly himself.
If you’d like to support Brandon’s project by donating some books, bring them with you to church this Sunday, March 29.

As Unitarian Universalists, we cultivate a spirit of gratitude and hope. We give thanks for the web of connections that link us to each other, to our neighbors and wider community, to the earth, and to the past and future.
One of the ways our gratitude, hope, and love manifest is through the practice of generosity. Financial generosity is only part of it. We also practice generosity of heart, opening our awareness to the ways our wellbeing and liberation are bound up together. May the assurance that we are part of something larger than ourselves spiritually, temporally, and practically, lead us to giving and receiving with abundance.
This Sunday, join us when we welcome our guest speaker, Rev. Lyn Cox, and their exploration of what it means to be generous of heart. Rev. Lyn serves the Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA) as a member of the Congregational Life Field Staff for the Central East Region. They served in a similar role in 2007-2008. In between their terms of service with the UUA, Rev. Lyn served in consulting and interim roles for congregations of various sizes. They live in Baltimore.
Music for this service will be offered by Mill Creek member Emma Marino. Emma has been attending Mill Creek since high school and became a member in 2022. She is a current member of the music committee and has always had a deep love for music. Although she has been a part of several choirs in the past, recently she has been exercising her passion for singing here at church by leading hymns and occasionally performing as a guest musician. She is accompanied by her father, Chris Hull, on guitar.

A Recurring Event
————————————————————
Sundays, March 29; April 12 & 26
(every other week)
12:00 pm, Classroom 4
D&D is a role-playing game about storytelling in worlds of swords and sorcery. Each player creates an adventurer (also called a character) and teams up with other adventurers (played by friends). Working together, the group might explore a dark dungeon, a ruined city, a haunted castle, a lost temple deep in a jungle, or a lava-filled cavern beneath a mysterious mountain. The adventurers can solve puzzles, talk with other characters, battle fantastic monsters, and discover fabulous magic items and other treasure. No registration required – just drop in. All are welcome to join the group in classroom 4. Occurs every other week on Sundays.
Realm is our church management software program. We use it exclusively for accounting, pledge data, membership, registration events, and more. Use the button below to access your Realm profile to make sure we have your most recent contact information, and make pledge payments and contributions.
Access your Realm profile HERE (https://onrealm.org/MillCreek/SignIn)
