>>Be sure to LABEL your donation(s) with your name!<<
ABSOLUTELY NO DONATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED ON AUCTION DAY!!
Please plan accordingly. We appreciate your cooperation.
**OUR DONATION LINE IS STILL OPEN**
We are still accepting donations. After all, without a large variety of items, services and other offerings to bid on, there would be no auction!
Click either ‘donate here’ button and let us know what you’ll be donating to help make our fundraiser a success!
DONATE HERE (mailto:david@dlsk.net)
The Service Auction is a fun and entertaining evening of fellowship enjoyed over a delicious meal, and features a little good-natured bidding competition. But its main purpose is to raise funds to support our operating budget and help offset our pledge drive deficit.
With this in mind, we humbly ask our members and friends to consider offering more than one item, outing, event, or service this year. There are no limits – donate as much as you’d like!
TICKETS ON SALE THIS SUNDAY:
$20 per person
See your friendly ticket seller after church service this Sunday, April 5 to purchase your tickets – CASH or CHECK.
Purchasing tickets in advance is recommended – it gives the team the numbers they need to prepare enough food for everyone.

10:30 am
————————————————————
Everyone is invited to join us on Easter morning when we gather for a service that holds more than one beginning.
We will welcome new members into our community — people who have found their way to this congregation and chosen to call it home. In doing so, they join a covenant that stretches back through every person who has sat in these pews and said: I choose this. I choose you.
We will also mark a milestone in our shared ministry. Rev. Christe Lunsford will formally receive the congregational stole — a symbol that belongs not to the minister but to this community. They waited to receive it, because a thing this meaningful cannot be rushed.
We’ll pause to make our promises to each other, and to set expectations as we enter the next chapter of ministry together.
All are welcome. Come ready to mean what you say, to rededicate yourself to the ministry of Mill Creek.

** Pizza in the Meadow
————————————————————
The meadows have been cut, and weekly maintenance is now a top priority. Warmer weather and longer days have propelled our Lands Stewards into full swing by gathering every Wednesday around 5:30pm, weather permitting. Everyone is welcome to come out and learn more about the work they do and why it’s so important.
Every second Wednesday of the month the team invites you to join them for pizza and beverages after the work time is complete. They will be gathering next on Wednesday, April 8. This is a perfect opportunity to socialize in beautiful surroundings.
There are many opportunities to get involved, but It’s not all about getting dirty! We’ve put together a list of suggestions for ways anyone can help – from minimal effort, to moderate activity, to using shovels and pulling weeds. Check it out and be inspired!

** Pancake & Potluck Pajama Breakfast Service
————————————————————
Sunday, April 19, 10:30am
Yes, you can wear your pajamas to church! In fact, we’re counting on it.
Dust off your most festive pajamas and come celebrate with us! On Sunday, April 19, we’ll be trading our usual Sunday best for something far cozier — a joyful Pancake & Potluck Pajama Breakfast Service!
Our service will begin at 10:30am with us singing in a new day and lighting our chalice, followed shortly thereafter with our community potluck breakfast. Rev. Christe, Margaret Borror, and our Faith Exploration children will be at the griddle, flipping pancakes for the whole congregation.
It’s a potluck, so bring a breakfast favorite to share — egg bakes, fresh fruit, pastries, juice, etc. — and help us turn the Sanctuary into one big, delicious community table.
We will celebrate this congregation, its generosity, and the wild success of our auction.
** Book Discussion Group
————————————————————
Join us as we explore the last of four powerful books that shed light on racism in America and how we can work toward achieving equity and justice. Together, these books reveal how racism shapes our society through denial, injustice, economic harm, and backlash, and invite us to imagine and work toward a more just and equitable future as we uphold our Unitarian Universalist values.
Book 4 of 4:
White Rage:
The Unspoken Truth of Our Racial Divide
by Carol Anderson
Wednesday, April 29
Discussion occurring afternoon @ 2pm in the conference room, or evening @ 7pm via Zoom.

* Become more aware of your own “inner polarizer.”
* Learn how to criticize viewpoints without stereotyping, dismissing, ridiculing, and holding contempt for those who disagree with you.
* Develop ways to speak up in polarizing conversations with peers about people on the other political side.
* Complete a self-assessment exercise, learn to counteract your inner polarizer, and practice communication skills to avoid polarizing conversations.

12:00 pm, Classroom 4
D&D is a role-playing game about storytelling in worlds of swords and sorcery. Each player creates an adventurer (also called a character) and teams up with other adventurers (played by friends). Working together, the group might explore a dark dungeon, a ruined city, a haunted castle, a lost temple deep in a jungle, or a lava-filled cavern beneath a mysterious mountain. The adventurers can solve puzzles, talk with other characters, battle fantastic monsters, and discover fabulous magic items and other treasure. No registration required – just drop in. All are welcome to join the group in classroom 4. Occurs every other week on Sundays.
