Book Discussion: Behind the Beautiful Forevers

The rescheduled Book Group meeting will be held on Wednesday, July 20 at 7:30 in the church library.  Sue Jackson will lead a discussion of “Behind the Beautiful Forevers: Life, Death, and Hope in a Mumbai Undercity” by Katherine Boo.

At the end of the meeting, Seetha Coleman-Kammula will present several book choices for the November meeting.

Looking ahead, on September 1 we will discuss “The Sense of an Ending” by Julian Barnes. (This intense novel follows a middle-aged man as he contends with a past he never thought much about — until his closest childhood friends return with a vengeance. When he is presented with a mysterious legacy, he is forced to revise his estimation of his own nature and place in the world.”)
