Join Us for Some Fun — All Ages Welcome!

We will begin work immediately after the pot luck lunch, early Sunday afternoon.

How Can You Help?

Help us plant the trees! We have eleven native trees (4-8 ft tall) to plant. Dress for the outdoors, and if you have them, bring a shovel, work gloves, and an empty milk jug or bucket. We will put you to work creating habitat for native species. Amy White and her husband Jim (Land & Biodiversity Manager for the Delaware Nature Society), both experienced with tree planting projects, will be on hand to give us directions and answer any questions.

Help us pay for the new trees. If you can’t help plant, please consider writing a check or making a donation. Make checks payable to UUSMC and write “New trees” in the memo area. It’s also easy to make a donation online through Realm.

Help care for the new trees. They shouldn’t need much care over this winter, but will need watering next spring and summer, especially when we hit a dry spell. In addition, removal of vines and other competitive plants will be needed periodically. Let Jamie Kegerise or John Springer know if you would like to added to our email list/Realm group.

Questions? See Amy White, Jamie Kegerise, or John Springer, UUSMC “Woods for the Wild” leaders.
